Today, we celebrate the first ever World Food Safety Day, an annual event proposed by WHO and the FAO to emphasise the importance of food safety for global nutrition. This is a significant campaign in which animal health is key: after all, animal products play a major role in human nutrition, and quality products can only come from healthy livestock.
Food safety is therefore closely linked to animal health and well-being. Improving animal welfare means improving human nutrition. These improvements start with feeding. Here, the right additives can promote animal growth and performance, and produce better, safer food. It all starts with the feed.
